Wagon Wheel Focalplane.com

Site Map

Focalplane is designed to be a very "flat" web-site and most topics are directly accessible from the "Hub". Only multiple-part travelogues and individual gallery images go to a second tier. Likewise it is possible to go straight to a recent weblog entry or any of the aggregated sites with one click from the "Hub". A site specific Google search facility is available on the "Hub". Each of the aggregated sites has its own search facility. You can contact Focalplane here.

On the subject of spelling you will find that American English will take precedence over English English, even when the subject is about England. Focalplane was started, and has always been registered and hosted, in Texas, so it seems appropriate to maintain that tradition. But there are bound to be speling errers anyway. . .

On the Focalplane Hub - the "Home" page that aggregates all the feeds and provides menus for travelogues, galleries, etc.

Spoke 2 - Focalplane Blog - This journal contains a wide range of topics not covered by the more specific "spokes". It was the original one-size-fits-all website spun off from the original focalplane in-the-news pages. The titles of the last five entries are shown on the Hub. Started August 2003, full archive available to search on the site.

Spoke 3a - Focalplane Railroad Flickr - Photos of trains. Four randomly selected images from the "Railroads" set are displayed on the Hub.

Spoke 3b - Focalplane Railblog - A railroad specific weblog that journals events and observations that have everything to do with trains. The titles of the last five entries are shown on the Hub. Started December 2005, full archive available to search on the site.
